SF Bicycle Coalition

The Bike & Roll Blowout is a free app-based game, organized by SF Bicycle Coalition and developed by Handstand, that allows middle and high school students to celebrate and participate in Bike & Roll Week remotely. It consists of trivia, puzzles, and prompts to create and submit short videos, all to encourage students to bike and use other sustainable modes of transportation.

A student’s parent or legal guardian must grant explicit permission on the form below before that student can participate in the Bike & Roll Blowout or download the game app.

I, the undersigned, give my child, identified below, permission to download the Handstand app, which shall be the game’s online platform, and/or enter into the Bike & Roll Blowout game.

I am aware that, by registering for the game, my child will submit personal contact information; this contact information will be used solely for purposes of participating in the game and will not be shared with anyone.

I am aware that participating in this activity may involve riding a bicycle, scooter, skateboard, or other human-propelled device, potentially (though not necessarily) on city streets, and that, as with all physical activities, these activities are not without risk. I release the SF Safe Routes to School Partnership, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, and the respective directors, officers, volunteers, and staff ("Indemnities") from any claim, liability, demand, action, and cause of action whatsoever (collectively, "Claim") arising out of or relating to any loss, damage, or injury (collectively, "Loss") to my child or my property in conjunction with, or arising out of, this event.

I am also aware that my child will create and submit short videos based on game prompts, and that my child’s voice and likeness may be featured in these videos. I give permission for my child to create and submit these videos, which will be viewable by other game participants. I also grant the SF Safe Routes to School Partnership, SFMTA, and/or SF Bicycle Coalition permission to share these videos publicly for non-commercial purposes of education and encouragement to bike or use other sustainable transportation modes.
