Please note Girls Write Now's programs have historically taken place at our headquarters in midtown Manhattan. However, we have developed fun, innovative and effective virtual programs to either replace in-person activities or to supplement them. 


In addition to this application, please be aware of the following: 

  • You will need to submit a writing sample on the last page of this application. This is so we can get a sense of your voice. Requirements: 250 - 400 words, it can be an excerpt.

  • Should you move on to the next stage in the application process, you will be invited to an in-person (COVID-19 restrictions permitting) or virtual interview. You will receive the invitation for your interview by email

  • If you are accepted into our program, you will be asked to provide a mandatory Parent/Guardian Consent Form.Your parent/guardian will be sent the consent form to their email. 

Save and Return Later:
You will be able to save your application partway through and return to it later using a password. 

  • BEFORE beginning the form, check the box at the top of the page next to this option, “Save my progress and resume later.”

  • At the top of the form, see the option to “Save my progress and resume later.”

  • Enter the email and password you will use to log back in.

  • When you want to return to the form, click “Resume a previously saved form” to log back in.
