MS Melbourne Run + Ride Festival

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM
THANK YOU for applying to volunteer for the MS Melbourne Run + Ride Festival!

You must be 12 years or older on the date of the Event to volunteer.
If you will be under 16 years of age on Event Day, you will need a guardian to sign the waiver. On Event Day, you will need to be accompanied by a guardian who is 18 years or older.

Do you rely on public transport?

The event takes place on a Sunday and most volunteers start around 6am. If you are relying on public transport to get to your shift, please check your options before event weekend.

VOLUNTEERING REQUIREMENTS

IF YOU WILL BE UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE ON EVENT DAY, YOU WILL NEED YOUR PARENT/GUARDIAN TO COMPLETE A WAIVER BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH YOUR APPLICATION.
PARENT/GUARDIAN TO COMPLETE
Applicants aged 12-15 years old on event day must have this form agreed to by their consenting parent/guardian.  This guardian will also need to supervise the volunteer on event day.

VOLUNTEER UNIFORM
WE PROVIDE AN MS VOLUNTEER T-SHIRT TO ALL VOLUNTEERS TO WEAR ON EVENT DAY.

VOLUNTEER LUNCH
WE CAN PROVIDE A LUNCH PACK TO YOU ON EVENT DAY. THIS USUALLY INCLUDES A SANDWICH, PIECE OF FRUIT AND OTHER SNACK.

WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO MEET THESE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

WE WON'T ALLOCATE YOU A POSITION UNTIL WE HAVE BOTH APPLICATIONS. PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP IF THEY ARE NO LONGER VOLUNTEERING.

We will make every effort to fulfil your first preference, but we cannot guarantee the role will be allocated to you. We will confirm your allocation via email or phone to finalise your role.

TEAM LEADERS

Taking on a volunteer role as Team Leader or Manager typically includes supervising a volunteer team and setting up and packing down your area.  It is essential that Team Leaders have a thorough understanding of their role and are able to effectively communicate with other Team Leaders and MS Event Staff.

SOME TEAM LEADER ROLES WILL REQUIRE A NATIONAL POLICE CHECK PRIOR TO THE EVENT.

COVID SAFE
MSL requires all volunteers and participants to comply with relevant state health orders in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic at the time of the event, including but not limited to social distancing, wearing of masks and proof of vaccine. Anyone who is unable to comply with the current guidelines at the time of the event may be unable to volunteer.

We strive to contact our volunteers in regard to applications within three weeks of submission.
