  • Whether you identify as: Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, Culturally or linguistically diverse (CALD) or a Person of colour (POC), Living with a disability, LGBTQIA+  (please only share what you feel comfortable sharing)
Creative Practice
  • Do you describe yourself as an emerging or early-career writer? (in the first 5 years of your practice) 
  • What is your primary writing genre? e.g. fiction, non-fiction, poetry, screenwriting, journalism, etc.

Expression of Interest
  • Why would you like to participate in the West Writers Program? How do you think this program will support your creative development? What skills and knowledge would you like to gain?
  • Why does now feel like the right time for you to participate in the program?
  • FCAC's mission is to engage with the critical challenges facing our communities and artists through local, national and international dialogue. How does your practice align with this mission?
  • Please describe a creative workshop you could lead for other participants. We encourage all participants to lead a creative workshop with other participants as part of the peer learning and exchange component of the program. We believe that all participants will have knowledge and skills to share with their peers regardless of the stage you are at in your practice. This could take the form of a participatory workshop, a presentation, a game, or something else related to your practice.  - 300 words limit, or upload a file below.
