NCAC Basic Forensic Interviewer Training
This training is specifically designed for child interviewers who have responsibility for initial forensic interviews of children. It is appropriate for professionals from the fields of Child Protective Services, law enforcement, and those affiliated with a Children's Advocacy Center (CAC). The NCAC has provided child interviewing training since 1999 through the NCAC Training Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

In this course, the attendee will experience immersion in the latest research-based information on interviewing techniques along with the opportunity to develop and refine interviewing skills. Additional topics to be covered are the NCAC Forensic Interview Structure, forensic questioning, developmental issues, interview strategies, and interviewing tools. Our goal for this training is to provide each attendee with new knowledge and skills to assist them in their daily job. In addition, we wish for attendees to depart with new knowledge of colleagues who can be sources of ongoing support in the important work that is done with children and families in their respective communities.

This training is open to those who perform forensic interviews of children in the Northeast Region.

This training will be held virtually via Zoom Video Conference on August 16-20, 2021 from 9:00am-5:00pm EST each day.
