SEA Grant Application Form

Thanks for applying to the Sponsored Admissions Grant for the 2021-2022 school year!

The SEA Grant Application can take up to 20 minutes to complete and must be completed in one sitting. Incomplete and inaccurate applications will not be considered. The person filling out the application should be the field trip contact and should be attending with the group. Limit 1 application per educator. If the email address does not match the name of the educator who applied, your application will be denied. Fall 2021 visits may take up to 4 weeks to be reviewed. Spring 2022 visits will receive an update on their application status sometime in August 2021.

Please add sponsored@georgiaaquarium.org and tickets@georgiaaquarium.org to your email address book! Our emails may get caught in the spam/junk folder.
*Please note, at least 60% of the student population served must receive free or reduced lunch to be eligible for the SEA Grant.
Please note, there is a maximum of 150 students covered per application. If you will have more than 150 students with your visit, you will be offered a discounted rate for any additional students.
The number of adult tickets we can provide under the SEA Grant will depend on your group size and your grade level. If your application is accepted, your confirmation email will contain information on the number of adults you were approved for.

All SEA groups will receive self-guided general admission tickets which include all galleries and shows. The SEA Grant does not include transportation, parking, meals or any other related field trip costs.
Please select 3 possible visit dates in order of your preference. Visit dates must be Monday-Friday during the 2021-2022 school year (August 16, 2021 – May 27, 2022). Dates are subject to availability, and blackout dates may apply.

Please make sure you choose at least two different months. All three date choices should not be in the same month of the year.

It takes about 4 weeks for an application to be reviewed. Please keep this turnaround time in mind when selecting your dates.
When choosing an Arrival Time, please make sure you consider when your buses would be able to leave the school and take traffic/travel time into account.

We will do our best to schedule your group for your requested date and time but please note: all dates and times are subject to availability.

Reschedule Policy
If something comes up and you need to reschedule your visit, you may do so once. Unfortunately, a visit cannot be rescheduled more than one time. If you reschedule once and the second date your group is scheduled for does not work, your visit will be cancelled.
No Call, No Show Policy
If your group does not attend your scheduled field trip and Georgia Aquarium is not notified in advance, your visit will be forfeited for the remainder of the school year and you may not be eligible for the SEA Grant for the 2022-2023 school year.

Essay
Please write a short essay on why you feel your group would benefit from receiving this grant. Essays must be original and written by the educator completing the application. If essays are not original, your application may be denied.
