Thank you for your interest in supporting our mission by volunteering!  We have a variety of ways you can become involved:

Puppy Raiser: Welcome a 9-week old puppy into your family for 18 months. Attend classes for 1 hour weekly for the first 9 weeks and then every other week until the dog is approximately 18 to 20 months old. We teach you all you need to know, give you a starter kit to begin your journey, and provide for the dog's veterinary care and monthly heartworm, flea and tick preventatives.

Puppy Sitter: Care for a dog-in-training on your schedule - whether it's for a couple of nights, a week, or a month. You choose when to watch a dog based on your schedule. All necessary supplies are provided.

Kennel Helper (18+ years old): This opportunity takes place during daytime hours (Monday-Friday) at our campus in Grantville, PA and involves interacting with large, energetic, 2-year-old Labrador/Golden Retrievers.

Spend time with our adult Advanced Training dogs and help them prepare to meet their future Partner. Activities include taking dogs out to play in small groups and offering them the opportunity to relax and snuggle in their kennels. Occasionally, assistance is needed with kennel duties. 

Building Blocks (13+ years old): This opportunity takes place during daytime hours, Monday/Wednesday/Friday of our puppy handout week. Scheduling is dependent on puppy availability. 

Under the supervision of a staff member or volunteer supervisor, provide enrichment for our 8-9 week old puppies following an enrichment curriculum.
