Cultivating Opportunities for Native Veterans Through Agriculture Reimagining Native Food Economies Questionnaire

The Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) is working with the Native American Agriculture Fund (NAAF) to determine:
  1. How Native veterans are involved in food production and agriculture.
  2. The financial, business and technical assistance needs of Native veterans and Native food entrepreneurs; and
  3. How to connect Native veteran farmers, ranchers, fishers and growers more seamlessly with NAAF grantees to realize the vision and mission of NAAF.
In the "Reimagining Native Food Economies: A Vision for Native Food and Agriculture Infrastructure Rebuilding and Recovery" vision document, NAAF proposes to develop 10 regional food hubs along with sub-hubs throughout Indian Country to reclaim portions of the food dollar. The vision is to build infrastructure for Native producers to begin processing, transporting, and packaging Native grown foods in the farm to table process.
