TAMEST 2022 Annual Conference - Protégé Nomination

The TAMEST Protégé Program is designed as a mentorship tool for early-career researchers (ideally within 15 years of their first academic appointment) or early-career industry professionals who will benefit from engagement with our highly-accomplished members. TAMEST members may nominate one protégé to join them at the conference.

Your protégé will be invited to attend the 2022 TAMEST Annual Conference at the Westin Riverwalk, beginning with the opening reception on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. New in 2022, TAMEST will host a poster challenge exclusively for protégés (see additional information below).

PROTÉGÉ POSTER CONTEST

The TAMEST Protégé Poster Contest will recognize research that has potential for positive impact on communities. Posters will be available for viewing on the first full day of the conference, Wednesday, January 12, and selected finalists will present their posters to conference attendees from the main stage the following morning, Thursday, January 13, during the general session.

Up to five selected protégé poster challenge finalists (three from academia and two from industry) will receive dedicated time during an exclusive breakfast session with Nobel Laureates; networking opportunities with distinguished leaders of the Texas research and business community; opportunity to present their poster on the main stage to the TAMEST conference audience (five-minute presentation by finalists on January 13, 2022); post-event publicity and recognition certificate.

TAMEST staff will reach out to registered protégés with information on participating in the poster contest.

Please note: Protégé submissions received after Friday, November 16, 2021 are invited to attend the conference; however, their name and photo will not be included in printed conference materials.
