The EMBA Impact Scholarship

The Sonoma EMBA program strives to admit a diverse cohort of experienced professionals. Our scholarship funding recognizes applicants from a variety of industries and backgrounds who are making (or seek to make) an impact in their organizations or industries.

Applicants for this scholarship will demonstrate through their essay recent achievements or professional goals related to any of the following values and priorities of the School of Business and Economics:

Diversity and Social Justice
Sustainability and Environmental Inquiry
Connectivity and Community Engagement
Entrepreneurship and Innovation

The deadline to submit the materials is November 1, 2023.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be an MBA student who has applied for admission to the Sonoma Executive MBA program.

Applicants must have a minimum overall 2.5 GPA in their last 60 units of coursework. (GPA will be verified through Sonoma State University's Admissions and Records Office.)

Applicants are required to submit an essay and a resume.

Formal admission to SSU is not required to apply however all applicants must submit their online university application via Cal State Apply before applying for scholarships.

Scholarship amount is $1,000 per student. Number of scholarships may vary.

Application Process:

After review of the materials submitted, selected applicants may be interviewed by the scholarship committee.

Funding:

The award will be distributed in two installments per academic year.

In the event that the awardee fails to maintain enrollment in the Sonoma Executive MBA program, all undistributed funds will be forfeited and awarded to a future recipient.
