Introduction

Welcome to the Jews of Color Initiative Incubator application. We look forward to learning about your project and how you are centering Jews of Color in Jewish communal life. If you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, please check out our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page or reach out to Riki Robinson, the Program Director of New York.

There are several sections to this application:

Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM ET on Friday, January 21, 2022. If you have extenuating circumstances that make this deadline difficult to meet, please reach out to Riki.

Eligibility
Your project must meet all of the below requirements:
a. The project is led by Jews of Color and serves Jews of Color or the wider multiracial Jewish community
b. The project leader who will participate in the Incubator is a self-identified Jew of Color       and can meet all the dates of the program (see below)
c. The project has a presence or audience in New York City
d. The organization must either be a 501(c)(3) or fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3)

Participation Commitments
1. Launch Day & Orientation (Wednesday, February 23 at 2-4pm ET
2. Session #1 - Tuesday, March 8 at 2-4pm ET
3. Session #2 - Wednesday, April 6 at 2-4pm ET
4. [Optional] Jewish Community Tour in Queens - tentatively, Sunday, April 3
5. Session #3 - Wednesday, May 4 at 2-4pm ET
6. Session #4 - Wednesday, May 25 at 2-4pm ET
7. Session #5 - Wednesday, June 15 at 2-4pm ET
8. Session #6 - Wednesday, August 3 at 2-4pm ET
9. Showcase event: Wednesday, August 31 at 2-5pm ET

Individualized Support & Incubating Your Project
This section is to get an understanding of your project's tage of development and where you want to go next, so we can better tailor the Incubator to your needs. We welcome applications from projects that are in various development stages.

Scheduling an Interview

Applications are due Friday, January 21st. We will be conducting interviews between January 18-27 and decisions will be communicated by January 31st.
