GUNA Nation Reservation

Sunday, February 25 - Tuesday, February 27

Crowne Plaza Midtown

As a part of Youth in Government Expo, we are introducing two new program components: National Security Academy and Local Government Academy in addition to the Diplomacy program (Model UN).  The specialized programs have participant caps (NSA - maximum 60, LGA - maximum 60; there are no caps on the Diplomacy track).  Because of the program caps, we are limiting how many a group can submit to each program.  For example, a group of 20 students could have 5 students in the NSA, 5 in the LGA, and 10 in the Diplomacy track.  For each additional 20 students registered, additional slots are earned for NSA and LGA.

Step 1:  Fill Out the Teacher/Delegation Information

Step 2: Indicate whether or not your delegation intends to participate in the specialty programs and how many students you anticipate registering in each program area.

Step 3: Click HERE to view the 193 nations recognized by the UN as well as information on nations organized by Regional Group and standards for teaching (these are only applicable for middle school).

Step 4: Determine and enter the number of nations you need as well as the preference of nation assignment ranking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices for each group/team you have.  (Note: 2-3 students per nation).  We are limiting Security Council Countries to 1 per delegation at this time.

For example if you have 20 students and you want 7 nations, you will go through the process of listing the top 3 nation choices for each of the 7 groups.

(example shown below - please note, any references to middle school are interchangeable for high school)

You would continue this for the remaining five groups/teams (total of six groups) needed for the example.

If you need more than the number 10 nations, please submit 2 or more forms.
