YOSA Parent/Guardian Volunteer Form 2021/22

Volunteers Needed

YOSA needs your help! Volunteers are very important to YOSA’s programs and events. Volunteers help keep rehearsals and concerts running smoothly, and more importantly, help keep tuition costs down for young musicians.

Please check off one or more of the following areas where you would be willing to help out during the 2021/22 YOSA season. By signing up below, you will be added to the volunteer email pool. We will then contact you throughout the season when volunteer opportunities arise.

We ask that all Parent/Guardian volunteers be over the age of 18. Please contact the YOSA office at (210) 737-0097 or volunteer@yosa.org if you have any questions.

Volunteer Dates and Times (please check all for which you are interested in volunteering)

YOSA Rehearsals: Alamo Heights High School. Assist with rehearsals for YOSA Philharmonic, Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Flute Choir and Concertino Strings. Tasks include helping with set-up, handing out music, checking musicians in, helping with snack, and more. Located at Alamo Heights High School: 6900 Broadway, San Antonio TX, 78209. Every Sunday between 12:30-9:00 p.m. until May 15, 2022 (excluding some holidays).YOSA Rehearsals: University of Incarnate Word. Assist with rehearsals for YOSA Repertory, Sinfonietta, Capriccio, and Prelude Strings. Tasks include helping with set-up, handing out music, checking musicians in, helping with snack, and more.Located at UIW Music Building: 4301 Broadway, San Antonio TX, 78209. Every Sunday between 1:00-7:00 p.m. until May 15, 2021 (excluding some holidays). Location subject to change.YOSA Concerts: Assist with chaperoning musicians, help with musician check-in, assist with load-in or load-out, assist backstage crew during the performance. Help is needed for both our City Series and Zachry Series concerts, as well as our Classic Albums Live Concert in March. October 31, November 14, January 23, January 30, February 13, March 7, May 1 and May 8.YOSApalooza: All YOSA musicians will perform at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. We will need volunteer chaperones, help backstage, help with snacks, and more! May 22, 2022.YOSA Invitational: YOSA Invitational is a three-day event held at the Tobin Center. YOSA invites 20 local school to perform onstage. Assist with monitoring the school groups, assist backstage crew during the performance, and more! May 23-25, 2022.YOSA Standing Ovation Luncheon: Assist with YOSA's largest annual fundraiser! February 22, 2022.
