Application Form - Eligibility

Welcome to the Heart of England Community Foundation eligibility quiz. As part of the process, we require you to take the quiz to determine if your organisation meets our basic criteria. If you meet the criteria at the end of the quiz, this will take you to the next stage of completing the application form. 

What type of organisation are you?

A registered charity is an organisation that is established for charitable purposes and registered with the Charity Commission. 

Groups made up of members of the local community, for example Residents Associations.

An incorporated firm without share capital, in which the liability of its members is limited by the amount each one of them undertakes to contribute at the time the firm is wound up, usually £1.

Introduced in 2005, CIC’s, are designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good.

An organisation that provides services legally as defined by the government e.g. NHS

A person applying for a grant for themselves to run an activity/service in their community. 

A group of people who come together voluntarily with common purpose to make a difference in their community. They are not constituted and have no legal status. 


Mutual Aid Group

You will need another organisation to hold your grant from us, if awarded.  You will need to provide details of that organisation and confirmation that they have agreed, at the application stage.  If unable to provide this, please do not proceed.



A list of those directors will be required showing who has bank authorisation. If you are a registered charity or company, your committee members, trustees or directors must be those registered with the Charity Commission and/or Companies House.
Do you have these documents in place?

  • A written constitution / articles / set of rules.
  • A copy of your most recent annual accounts or financial records showing your organisation’s balance of funds, income, expenditure and reserves.
  • Copies of your safeguarding policy.
  • Equal opportunities policy.
  • Quotes for capital items over £300.




Unfortunately, your organisation does not meet our basic eligibility requirements and therefore you cannot proceed with an application. Please check our website for basic eligibility . We wish you all the best with your fundraising efforts.
