Curriculum Connections Residency

Curriculum Connections Residencies connect the content, themes, or skills of one core subject area to a theatrical discipline and a Roundabout production, which the students will attend. These residencies are customized to fit the goals and needs of the partner teacher and students. Each workshop is co-planned and co-taught by the Roundabout Teaching Artist and partner teacher. Typically, visits occur once a week over 8–12 weeks.

Where appropriate, Teaching Artists will make skills-based connections to Roundabout shows and processes. Plus, participants are invited to attend a Roundabout performance to deepen the investigation of professional skills and processes used in the residency.

Producing Partners Residency

A Roundabout Teaching Artist facilitates a series of workshops and mentoring sessions that apply professional theatre skills and processes to school productions. The residency will focus on a single theatrical discipline (i.e. light design, sound design, scenic construction, choreography, etc.) to develop the theatrical skillset of a single student, group of students, and/or teacher. These residences are typically 8-12 visits and can take place after school or during the school day.

Where appropriate, Teaching Artists will make skills-based connections to Roundabout shows and processes. Plus, participants are invited to attend a Roundabout performance to deepen the investigation of professional skills and processes used in the residency.
