Do you lead a community enterprise in the North East of England or Yorkshire and Humber? Are you interested in building your leadership skills, confidence, and networks? Leading the Way offers a tailored learning programme that balances one-to-one development and group learning, with a grant of £8,000 to support your development and the impact of your organisation.

Section 5: Grant request


You can request to use the £8,000 grant for revenue and/or capital costs. The costs should be to support your development as a leader and/or the impact of your organisation. This can include travel costs for the in person learning sessions and support with backfilling your role. You have 1200 characters, which is approximately 200 words
Please provide a breakdown of your proposed use of the £8,000 grant. Please split between capital and revenue and tell us the anticipated timing of the expenditure. If you are requesting to use the grant for more than one purpose, please add a new budget line below for each item.

As Living Wage Funders we encourage you to ensure that any salaries funded through our grant are paid at least a real Living Wage. The Living Wage is currently £9.50 per hour. Your budget should reflect this. If you are unable to pay staff funded through our grant at this level, please explain why. Privacy and Data Protection

Power To Change and the Virgin Money Foundation (the parties) are data controllers in respect of the information submitted in this form and either party may share with the other any information that you have provided in connection with an application to Leading the Way. Any such information will be used, and shared, for the purposes of ascertaining whether an award will be awarded to the applicant jointly by the parties. In the event that an award is jointly made, both parties may continue to share with each other any information regarding you and the award for as long as you are in receipt of funding or support from the parties.

Where you provide information about other people you must obtain their appropriate consent before doing so. Nothing in this application shall restrict the Virgin Money Foundation or Power to Change from making awards with the same or similar purposes to other future applicants.
