We want YOU to serve as a juror! From Tuesday, December 14th to Thursday, December 16th, middle school students from Boston, Lowell, Springfield, Worcester, New Bedford, Douglas, and Rehoboth will be presenting their cases during Discovering Justice's 2021 Mock Trials. Each team will present their case to a state or federal judge, a clerk, an audience of families and friends, and a jury of community members like you! See the dates, times and locations for each of the mock trials in the juror registration form below. 

Please complete this form to register for your spot on the jury for these hour-long trials.

Mock Trial Culminating Event Details

Monday, December 13th
  • Federal Building and Courthouse, Providence, RI from 5:00 to 7:00 pm -- including schools from Douglas and Rehoboth
  • Douglas Middle School and Vertex

  • Beckwith Middle and Choate


Tuesday, December 14th
  • Justice Center, Lowell from 5:00 to 7:00 pm -- including schools from Lowell 
  • Butler Middle School (Lowell) and Committee for Public Counsel Services Lowell Trial Office

  • Stoklosa Middle School (Lowell) and Freitas & Freitas, LLP

  • Sullivan Middle School (Lowell) and the Law Office of Ryan P. Sullivan and Kovach Talbot Law 

  • Robinson Middle School (Lowell) and Perkins & Anctil, O’Donnell Law Firm, and Pardoe Law Firm

  • Springfield Federal Courthouse from 5:00 to 7:00 pm -- including schools from Springfield and South Hadley
  • Duggan Middle School (Springfield) and Western New England School of Law Students 

  • Kiley Middle School (Springfield) and Western New England School of Law Students

  • Renaissance Academy (Springfield) and Community Legal Aid and Central West Justice Center

Wednesday, December 15th 
  • Moakley Federal Courthouse, Boston from 5:00 to 7:00 pm -- including schools from Boston, Brockton, Brookline, Framingham, and Waltham
  • Boston Latin Academy (Boston) and U.S Attorney’s Office 

  • Boston Latin School (Boston) and City of Boston Legal Department

  • Brooke East Boston (Boston) and Teach For America Alumni 

  • Florida Ruffin Ridley School (Brookline) and Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office

  • McCormack Middle School (Boston)and WilmerHale

  • Mildred Ave School (Boston) and GE-Jones Day

  • Forest Grove Middle School (Worcester) and Worcester County Bar Association Team 2

  • New Bedford Superior Court, New Bedford from 5:00 to 7:00 pm -- including schools from New Bedford
    • Nativity Prep (New Bedford) and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth

Next Steps After Registering Below

We are grateful and excited to have you volunteer as a juror for our Mock Trial! We will follow up with a confirmation email soon and more reminder emails as the trial gets closer.  You will be receiving the following: 
  • Confirmation of the date and time for the trial or trials you have signed up for
  • Details about the event and how you as a member of the jury can best be prepared for it
  • Other important information relating to the Discovering Justice Mock Trials
