2022 Come to the Table Mini-Grant Application

The Rural Advancement Foundation International - USA's (RAFI-USA) Come to the Table (CTTT) program has mini-grant funds available to assist up to 20 rural United Methodist churches throughout North Carolina.

For this round of mini-grants, faith communities will be paired with a local farmer(s) of color from RAFI-USA's Farmers of Color Network to purchase food from. RAFI-USA staff will coordinate the introduction of the church to the farmer(s), a purchasing agreement between the church and farmer, delivery and payment logistics, and other logistical considerations.

Eligibility Requirements:

Churches must be United Methodist, rural, located in North Carolina, and eligible to receive funds from The Duke Endowment.

Churches must use these funds to purchase food from the farmer(s) that RAFI-USA staff pairs them with. These farmers are part of RAFI-USA’s Farmers of Color Network.

Churches must spend the funds between March and September of 2022.

Participation Requirements:

In order to receive the funds, grantees will need to submit a completed W-9 form for their church and a signed grant agreement (that RAFI-USA will provide).

Participants will be required to complete a short evaluation at the end of the grant period.

Churches must use purchased produce for ministry purposes (ex: food pantry, community meals, etc.)

Grant application deadline: January 31, 2022

A review board will make final funding decisions. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions by February 15, 2022.
