treatment
modalities
and

roles
in
cancer
prevention
and
treatment.
Discuss
the
etiology
of
symptoms
experienced
by
oncology
patients
and
the
nursing
management.
Discuss
the
psychosocial
dimension
of
nursing
care
of
the
oncology
patient.
Identify
selected
oncologic
emergencies,
including
care
and
treatment
of
each.
Discuss
the
concept
of
survivorship
for
those
living
with
cancer.
Discuss
key
concepts
related
to
palliative
and
end
of
life
care.
Describe
the
role
that
oncology
professional
organizations
can
play
in
emphasizing
professional
expectations,
standards
and
quality
of
nursing
care
for
the
oncology
patient.
