Learning Outcome: Participants will be able to identify current standards of cardiac surgery nursing
practice and apply them to selected patient conditions.
Objectives:
- Discuss the nurse’s role related to various procedures related to cardiac surgery care.
- Identify the signs, symptoms and interventions for complications that could occur when caring for a cardiac surgery care patient.
- Discuss the nurse’s role related to select therapeutic interventions in cardiac surgery care.
- Discuss the nurse’s role related to select monitoring/diagnostic interventions in cardiac surgery care.
