Midan is an online Knowledge Community designed to connect local civil society organisations of the MENA region with other diverse actors working in our ecosystem space: donors, academic organisations, think tanks, and of course, each other. The Knowledge Community is centred around access to learning, knowledge production and knowledge-sharing, and of course, networking and discussion tools. As a member of Midan, you will be able to:

- - Create a profile page and build your and your organisation's visibility a to a growing, relevant audience
- - Access free online learning designed with local civil society organisations in mind
- - Search the civil society Knowledge Base for expertise and approaches, and add your own
- - Access free LMS tools with which to create courses and other knowledge products
- - Check out formal knowledge produced by leading think tanks and universities in accessible formats
- - Join, or start, a Community of Practice, discussion or event
- - Find out about funding, L&D opportunities and other resources
- - Be part of building an important new community-- and driving this pilot project forward!

Note: Midan is an initiative of the Asfari Foundation. It was designed in collaboration with local civil society partners of the MENA region, and was soft-launched in October 2021. It is in beta mode and undergoing extensive testing. Midan is currently a closed community, with membership by invitation or application only. Any content shared by a member or member organisation remains the intellectual property of that individual or organisation. Access to Midan, its tools and resources is completely free.
