The total annual estimated cost per corps member provided here includes all fees paid to Avodah to support the robust training, professional development, housing, and ongoing support for the Corps Members, as well as the modest monthly living allowances, health insurance coverage, and transportation stipend for the Corps Members.

Over the years, Avodah has made every effort to insulate placements from increases in the cost to host an Avodah Corps Member. We've only modestly increased our placement, housing reimbursement, and monthly living allowance fees. Unfortunately, those increases have not kept pace with inflation and the substantial increases to cost of living and housing. As a communal housing provider, our expenses due to rising inflation and ongoing COVID costs (e.g., quarantine space, PPE, test kits and fees, better internet access to allow virtual service from home, etc.) have been substantial. And with COVID becoming a long-term challenge, we don't anticipate a decrease in those costs in the coming year. We hope that you agree that the benefits that the Corps Members bring to your organization remain well worth your investment and we encourage you to reach out to the Avodah Program Director in your City with any questions.
