CFC PRODUCTION VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Canadian Film Centre!
Please review the below information before submitting an application.
ABOUT OUR SETS
CFC productions are scaled-down versions of professional sets. We have smaller, agile crews, but adhere to industry standards while on set. We offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year, with volunteers working on everything from internal exercises to larger showcase productions.

For our showcase productions, we work with donated gear from professional gear houses, including a package grip and electric truck, and a professional camera package.
Our sets run on an 11 + 1 working day (11hrs work + 1-hour lunch). Lunch is served “hot and ready” no later than 6 hours into the shift and is catered by a professional catering company. We do not do overnight shoots, and generally work between 7 am and 11 pm. Call sheets for production are shared no later than 12 hours before call time.

We are proud of the high quality of our showcase productions and are excited to share the final product with our volunteers once post-production is complete. If you’d like to see examples of previous showcase productions, please check them out here

LOCATIONS:
Please note that all volunteer opportunities are based out of Toronto. Most of our productions are shot within the downtown core, North York, Mississauga, Etobicoke, and/or Scarborough, and are TTC accessible.

SAFETY:
To maintain a safe and professional work environment, all confirmed cast and crew are asked to sign the CFC Respect in the Workplace Policy and adhere to our vaccination policy. We also do rapid COVID tests at the beginning of each shoot and require everyone on set to follow COVID safety protocols throughout the shoot.
