2022 Women on the Water Registration 

How Women on the Water Works

Session Days and Time:  
  • Thursdays 2:00 to 4:00 pm & Thursdays 6:00 to 8:00 pm
  • Sailing events will be June 2 - September 8, 2022

Location:  Great Lakes Sailing Co. at CenterPointe Marina, 12935 S. West Bay Shore Dr., Traverse City MI 49684

Cost:  $30 per session

Additional Information:
1. Please limit your signups to 2 per month.
2  Please bring your own personal floatation device.
3. Please park at the Center Point parking lot on the west side of M-22 and use the tunnel. 
4. Cancellation due to inclement weather, TACS will do their best to reschedule the sailing session.
5. All participants must download and complete the Traverse Area Community Sailing and also complete Great Lakes Sailing Company Waiver and Acknowledgment on the day of your session.

Women should not sign up for more than 2 sailing sessions per month to allow more ladies to sail.  We reserve the right to cancel extra sails that they sign up for above the 2 per month limit.

TACS is a 501 (3) c tax-exempt organization. You will receive

an acknowledgement of your tax deductible donation for your tax return.


If you prefer, you can make a donation to the TACS Permanent Endowment Fund which is managed by the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation. WOMEN ON THE WATER SAILOR PLEASE READ and ACKNOWLEDGE BELOW:  By indicating your acceptance, you understand, agree, warrant and covenant as follows: Traverse Area Community Sailing, Great Lakes Sailing and any other associated groups, their directors, employees, or associates, appointed or volunteer do not accept liability for loss of life or property, personal injury, infectious disease, illness, or damage cause or rising out of any activity engaged in during the sailing session for any reason whatsoever. By participating in these water based recreation programs, I am knowledgeable of the inherent risk in the sport. Pursuant to the provisions of the Michigan Estates and Protected Individuals Code, MCL 700.5109, I also agree to assume the risks for myself and my child, and I agree to Traverse Area Community Sailing and Great Lakes Sailing, its directors, employees and volunteers harmless and free of any liability for damage, infectious disease, illness or injury that my incur from these activities. I hereby give Traverse Area Community Sailing the irrevocable right to use my picture or photography in all forms and media and in all manners, including composite or manipulated representations, for advertising, promotion, or any other lawful purposes and I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished version(s) including written copy that may be created and appear in connection therewith.

If there is inclement weather, the instructor will do her best to reschedule the session. If you cannot attend your scheduled session, please contact the instructor to see if it can be rescheduled. A refund will be issued if your session cannot be rescheduled.
