This livestream corresponds with a series of four short films. One of them (Pick) will be shown within the livestream, while the other three must be viewed ahead of time, making up the "advance viewing programme". Your class should watch these as close as possible to when you watch the livestream.

* Everyone who registers for any component of the programme will receive a lesson plan package as well as resources to help you guide a discussion of sensitive content with your students.

Once you submit this form, you will receive an email with the link to order the recording of our French-language livestream from December 2021.

Hidden Fields

For Returning Teachers

If you already participated in either of the first two livestreams earlier this school year, and would like to screen them for a new cohort of students, please write to contactus@reelcanada.ca to request a new link to the film(s). Please be sure to specify:

- Which livestream(s) and film(s) you'd like access to

- What date you'd like to activate the film streaming links (valid for seven days each)

- How many students would be participating

- Your school name

The livestream corresponds with a programme of short films, and teachers should screen the films (provided by REEL CANADA) for their students within 1-2 weeks prior to the corresponding filmmaker discussion/livestream.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are pleased to provide streaming links in lieu of our regular DVDs. This allows for maximum flexibility if your class is currently learning from home, or if your school or any of your students experiences a sudden shift to learning from home.

You may share these links directly with your students to watch at home, but the links cannot be shared outside of your own virtual classroom or school. These links are for educational purposes only.

If you are planning to watch the film in a classroom setting with your students, you can use that same streaming link, and a projector, to show the film at the front of the class.

While you're watching, our media player will automatically adjust the video resolution according to your internet strength, so you will see the films with smooth playback.

We also have a small number of DVD copies reserved for those schools where even a lower-resolution streaming link will not work properly.

In addition to your DVD, we will also provide a streaming link as a precautionary measure, in case your school or some of your students are suddenly shifted to learning from home. As such, we would ask you to please sign off on the confirmation below.

We will contact you to provide technical assistance. Even if it's determined that you qualify to receive a DVD, we will also provide a streaming link as a precautionary measure, in case your school or some of your students are suddenly shifted to learning from home. As such, we would ask you to please sign off on the confirmation below.

Example: (555) 555-5555 x1234

For urgent situations only, just in case it's difficult to reach you at the school number above.

Demographic Information

It's a condition of our funding from the federal government that we ask the following demographic questions, in order to ensure we're reaching diverse audiences. This information allows us to continue offering our programme completely free of charge! Please rest assured that the demographic information will only be reported in aggregate, along with percentage data from the hundreds of schools we serve each year.

If you don't know exact percentages, that's absolutely fine – rough estimates are perfectly acceptable.

If you're strongly opposed to answering any of the demographic questions, please email contactus@reelcanada.ca, so we can submit your registration manually. Before exiting, please make sure to click "Save my progress and resume later" above, and follow through with the questions needed to save the form.

School District #38 has already provided the following board-wide demographic information. You are welcome to submit the form with this information, or feel free to amend the percentages to be more specific for your school if you prefer.
