Certified Payroll Technician


The Certified Payroll Technician is recognised for outstanding service during their first year/s within the payroll industry.

 

The nominee must demonstrate compliance to the professionalisation designation process by completing the following criteria:


Certified Payroll Technician 

1 year payroll experience

Studying or completed Payroll Administration Certificate

Meet CPD requirements are met

Be prepared to complete an assessment



Certified Payroll Administrator Practitioner 

The Certified Payroll Administrator Practitioner is responsible for the full payroll function and for providing a high quality of service to the organisation. 


The nominee must demonstrate compliance to the professionalisation designation process by completing the following criteria:

Certified Payroll Administrator Practitioner 

5 years payroll experience

Completed Payroll Administration Certificate

Meet CPD requirements are met

Be prepared to complete an assessment



Certified Payroll Practitioner 

The Certified Payroll Practitioner is responsible for the full payroll function and for providing a high quality of service to the organisation. 

The nominee must demonstrate compliance to the professionalisation designation process by completing the following criteria:


Certified Payroll Practitioner 

5 – 10 years payroll experience

Completed Payroll Administration National Diploma or Financial Degree 

Meet CPD requirements are met

Be prepared to complete an assessment

AUTHENTIFICATION OF NOMINATION

I, the undersigned, hereby declare that the foregoing nomination is bonafide; the nominee/ nominees actually performed as indicated in the nomination motivation within the organisation.

Short-listed nominees will be required to present their proposal to an objective and neutral panel of judges. 

Presentation guidelines will be provided to short listed nominees in all categories in order for them to be well prepared and to present with confidence.

CONDITIONS

  • All motivations for nominations must be submitted on the official SAPA nomination form.
  • This competition is only open to individuals based in South Africa.
  • Nominations will be evaluated against strict criteria and high industry standards.
  • The final winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges, subsequent to a screening and validation process.
  • The ruling of the independent panel of judges for each category will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The winners will be announced at the annual SAPA Awards & Professionalisation Event.
  • The motivation(s) for the nomination must be based on a new practice or program within the organisation which has not been forwarded in previous nominations for the organisation’s team or individual.
  • Note that the nominee and the person validating can NOT be the same person, the person validating should be superior to the nominee/s.
