Parade and Festival applications always exceed capacity. We regret that not every application can be accepted.

IF ACCEPTED TO PARTICIPATE, THE APPLICANT AGREES TO THESE GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS:
  1. Participants will conduct themselves in a manner consistent with a family-friendly event, and observe LA Pride's values of respect, kindness, and positivity. Nudity, obscenity, advocating violence or discord, public intoxication, and other inappropriate or disruptive conduct will be ground for ejection and banning from the event(s).
  2. Participants will not throw any items into crowds, or at any person. Items may be handed out, but tossing, throwing or launching items may result in nonrefundable ejection from the event, and/or a possible monetary fine.
  3. Animals are not allowed to walk in the Parade or at the Festival. Only certified service animals are allowed, and their handlers must adhere to the rules of the venue, keep them on leash and in complete control at all times, and provide immediate waste clean-up as needed. It is the responsibility of the handler to provide water and ensure the safety of any service animal brought to the event. The handler is solely responsible for any injury or damage caused by an animal.
  4. Participants acknowledge CSW/LA Pride's right to remove any participant for a rule or regulation infringement, or any behavior deemed unsafe or inappropriate by CSW/LA Pride staff, crew, or representatives.
  5. Participants agree that no third-party sponsorship, advertising or signage may be displayed or touted without advance, written permission from LA Pride.
  6. CANCELLATION POLICY: If your application is accepted, registration invoices are due upon receipt. Refunds are only available with written notice of cancellation on or before MAY 16, 2023.  Fees are NONREFUNDABLE after May 16, 2023.

The original and iconic LA Pride Parade was the first permitted gay parade in the world. Last year, the Parade was attended by over 146,000 spectators, with many thousands more watching the live broadcast on ABC7, the most watched news channel in Southern California!

  • Marching Unit Only - Up to 100 marchers with no vehicles.
  • Marchers with a Passenger Vehicle - Car, pickup truck, SUV, or minivan, and up to 100 marchers.
  • Bus, Firetruck, Trolley, Trailer - One of these, with or without up to 100 marchers.
  • Flatbed, Float - Decorated vehicle with or without people riding.

FESTIVAL Application

The LA Pride Festival is called "LA Pride in the Park"

LOCATION: The Festival is going to be at LA State Historic Park, 1245 N Spring St. LA, CA 90012.
DATES: The Festival is a two-day event, held on Friday, June 9 & Saturday, June 10. Hours of operation are tbd.
You must be able to operate your booth for both dates. Sorry, we cannot accept any applications for one day.

A Note about Liability Insurance

You will be notified by email on our around APRIL 28 with the event committee's decision. You will not be billed until your application is accepted. If your application is accepted, please be ready to:
  • Pay the registration invoice you will receive following your acceptance notification. Your registration will not be confirmed until payment is made.
  • Sign and return participation documents such as waivers and contracts.
  • Read and agree to additional participant rules and regulations.
  • For Parade applications, at least one representative will be required to attend one (virtual) safety meeting.
  • For Festival applications, you will be required to obtain a certificate of insurance (COI). If you do not have insurance, we can refer you to event coverage providers. An event policy is usually a nominal cost.
