LGBT Chamber Foundation2022 - 2023 Scholarship Application




The LGBT Chamber of Commerce Foundation awards scholarships to build leadership and promote diversity in the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and allied community. Scholarships may be used for any post-secondary education, including nontraditional/alternative programs and vocational training.
   
GENERAL CRITERIA FOR ALL SCHOLARSHIPS
  • Applicants must be Texas resident. Proof of residency required. 
  • Applicants may study at any accredited school or Certificate program. However, preference may be given to those studying in Texas and/or North Texas. 
  • Preference is given to students who self-identify as LGBT, members of LGBT families, and allies who demonstrate significant activities in support of LGBT equality.

APPLICATION COMPONENTS
To complete your application, you must upload the following documents:
  • A copy of your Texas Drivers License or state issued ID. 
  • Two reference letters from two individuals who know your capabilities and potential for success in your educational program. We recommend one letter be from a teacher, counselor or other academic representative.
  • A copy of your most recent school transcript. Unofficial transcripts ARE acceptable.

  • If necessary, scholar interviews may be held during the week of April 4, 2022. [Subject to change.] 
  • Scholarship recipients will be expected to attend the Scholars Gala on April 30, 2022.
