Essay

Please submit an essay as part of the application.  You can submit this application form without the file, however, you will need to email it to your admissions counselor or admissions@richmont.edu in order for your application to be reviewed. 

 For Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation and Leadership, write a personal statement that outlines the applicant’s intent behind applying for the Doctor of Ministry at Richmont. Said application must be between 500 to 700 words typed, double spaced.

This statement will be examined to determine your writing ability and will be rated according to clarity of thought, grammar, and readability. It will also be used to learn more about you personally.

References

Applicants are required to submit three references.  It is up to the applicant to provide these links to their references to have them submitted online.  


Applicants must submit:

One  Academic/Professional Reference;

One Pastoral Reference and; 

One Character Reference

For academic references, please include professionals in the field of counseling whenever possible. For character reference, please list someone that can provide an objective prospective (ex. supervisor, boss, professor, etc.). For Pastoral Reference please have it completed by a pastor, small group leader, missions leader, etc.  Ideally it should be someone that can address your ministry involvement who you have served with/under or alongside.


The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) permits college and seminary students to view materials contained in his/her education record. Letters of reference are discarded upon acceptance to Richmont and are not considered part of the student's record. Because some individuals may be hesitant to write a letter of recommendation if confidentiality is not guaranteed, students may choose to waive the right to view letters of recommendation. Signing such a waiver is not required nor is it a condition of admission to Richmont
