WSLP runs from June 2022 - March 2023. The schedule amounts to over 16 days of training including (1) program orientation, an off-site (3) day opening retreat, (5) weekday leadership sessions, (4) weekday strategy sessions, (3) system change project prep sessions, (2) optional evening sessions and Coro community events, (1) weekday presentation showcase and graduation. Due to the experiential nature of our training and the importance of the group in our work together, and commitment to attend all program sessions is preferred.
Due to known or unexpected circumstances, we understand that participants may need to miss a session. A total of 3 absences are possible with no more than 1 absence for a strategy session, no more than 1 absence for a leadership session, and no more than 1 absence for a system change project session. Absences exceeding this could result in your withdrawal from the program.
This year, WSLP will return to meeting in person at various NYC locations. The program calendar can be found on our website. Full participation in the off-site Opening Retreat from June 15-17 and the Showcase and Graduation on March 22 is required.
Participants also commit to self organizing time outside of the program to work on their System Change Projects. Previous participants report spending approximately 30-50 additional hours over the course of the year meeting and connecting with their change project groups as well as conducting individual research.
