The Beit Ha'am Movies kit was created and assembled by the Department of Irgoon and Israelis Abroad at the World Zionist Organization. The kit consists of five short Israeli films that were carefully chosen from dozens of prize-winning works. The films present various perspectives on Israeli society, way of life in Israel, and issues of concern to young Israeli filmmakers. Viewing these films enables Jews in the Diaspora to become acquainted with and reflect on diverse and relevant themes, as well as connect with their Jewish identity and the State of Israel from a different angle.

The films are not arranged in any specific order and it is not necessary to watch them all. The suggested group activities, which are based on the films, can be  adapted to your group's meeting place, and specific preferences and needs.

ערכת "בית העם סרטים" נבנתה והופקה על ידי המחלקה לארגון וקשר עם ישראלים בתפוצות של ההסתדרות הציונית העולמית. הערכה כוללת סרטים ישראלים קצרים, אשר נבחרו בקפידה מתוך עשרות סרטים עטורי פרסים. הסרטים מביאים זוויות שונות של החברה הישראלית, ההווי הישראלי, וסוגיות שמעסיקות יוצרים ישראליים צעירים. באמצעות צפייה בסרטים אלו, אנו מאפשרים ליהודים בתפוצות להכיר ולגעת בנושאים רלוונטיים מגוונים באופן חווייתי, ולהתחבר ממקום אחר לזהותם היהודית ולמדינת ישראל. הצפייה בסרטים אינה על פי סדר כרונולוגי, ואין חובה לצפות בכולם. ניתן לעשות פעילות אחת או יותר, על פי התנאים, הצרכים והאפשרויות.
