CREATING CHANGE THROUGH PARENT VOICE: Policy Advocacy Training

Feel passionately about how Idaho can improve access to important services infants and toddlers need to thrive? Want to learn how to use your voice as a parent to change policy? Attendees will learn how to share their story as parents of young children, how to contact their state legislators, and develop confidence about how to engage with the lawmaking process. Join Idaho’s First Steps Alliance and Idaho Parents Unlimited for a two-hour, in-person advocacy training session to step into your power as a parent in this state.

OBJECTIVES
  • Participants will learn skills to frame stories about their lived experiences as parents and caregivers and how to share them with lawmakers
  • Participants will learn what it means to advocate around policy matters at the state and federal local level
  • Participants will have opportunity to practice sharing their stories with others
Taking place live and in-person - This will be the same training but held at different locations.
