START Family Reading Program is Coming to Severn Library Branch
You're invited to participate in Blue Star Families' START
(Serving, Thriving, and Reading Together)! This is a free, unique
humanities-based and family-focused program that builds community among
military and civilian families with children ages 5 to 10. You'll enjoy six*
storytelling, reading, and discussion sessions led by a storyteller and
storylover, covering award-winning children’s books on topics such as family,
courage, and community.
*Please note this family reading session takes place over six
weeks. We want you and your family to get the most out of this fabulous
program, so please plan to be at all of the afternoon sessions. We know many
families will be interested in participating and want to make sure this is
something you are committed to doing.

5:30 - 6:45 PM ET
**At the end of each session, families will be
provided with a takeaway dinner so they can continue their discussion of the
book club experience from home.**
