The COVID-19 pandemic since early 2020 has caused a lot of disruption in our students' learning. Schools closure has resulted in significant learning loss and learning inequality among students in Malaysia and across the world.

We are excited to launch the second phase of the TFM Tutoring Programme to narrow the learning gap as part of our strategy towards education recovery in Malaysia. We are partnering with various stakeholders to make this pilot phase possible, and we are recruiting tutors to be matched with schools and students.

The Volunteer Tutors (VT) are voluntary roles requiring several hours of commitment each week.

For further information about the Tutoring Programme and the roles we are recruiting for, please read our information pack.

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING YOUR APPLICATION

This form is an application form for the Volunteer Tutor role only. Application deadline for the Volunteer Tutor role is extended to 11:59 PM, 16 May 2022.

Additional Personal Information

Language Competency
Volunteer Tutors are expected to be proficient in both Bahasa Melayu and English. Tutors will be required to tutor subjects using either Bahasa Melayu or English as medium of instructions (for example: some schools adopt Dual Language Programme for teaching of Mathematics and Science subjects). Additionally, proficiency in both Bahasa Melayu and English allows for more effective communication between you and the students whom you will tutor.

Proficiency in other local languages (e.g. Mandarin Chinese & Tamil) is not required, but can be an added advantage.

Diversity and Inclusiveness

Teach For Malaysia is committed to equal opportunities and seeks to attract applicants from diverse backgrounds. By understanding the different backgrounds of our candidates, we will be able to evaluate our recruitment initiatives in the area of diversity. We would be most grateful for your co-operation in completing the section below.
