Nurses Lobbying for Safe Staffing, Nursing Practice, and Health Equity
New York is facing a staffing crisis
that impacts equal access to care. We
need to improve staffing in hospitals and nursing homes, rebuild our public
health infrastructure, and prepare to meet the current and future health care
needs of all New Yorkers.
Join nurses from across New York in Albany at NYSNA’s 2022 Lobby Day:
- Tell lawmakers to pass the NY Health Act to guarantee full health coverage
to all New Yorkers
- Defend and strengthen
our nursing scope of practice
- Recruit and retain
nurses and other direct care workers to implement the new hospital and nursing
home staffing laws
- Fix the Tier 6 public sector pension to make it fair and comparable
to private sector pensions
