WGHA’s Global Health Impact Awards recognize the people and
organizations in Washington working relentlessly to improve health around the
world. WGHA is thrilled to shine a spotlight on these outstanding people
and organizations, and we are grateful to you for nominating them! Please share
this form with others who may wish to nominate as well.
Process
· Nominations
are due by 5:00 pm PT on July 8, 2022
· You may
nominate in multiple categories. Self nominations are welcomed and
encouraged. Finalists for all categories must be nominated by a WGHA affiliate* or member organization.
· To be
considered, all questions in the nomination form must be answered completely
and according to directions.
· Winners
will be selected based on criteria outlined below, not by the number of
nominations, so please submit only one nomination per individual/organization
in each category.
*Affiliate in this case includes WGHA staff and board members
Winners will be recognized at WGHA's Global Health Impact Awards ceremony in October (date and location TBD).
2022 Global Health Impact
Award Categories
WGHA’s Global
Health Impact Awards welcomes nominees who represent a diversity of race,
culture, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity and
expression, discipline, and lived experience.

Rising Star: Awarded
to an individual age 40 or under (as of October 1, 2022) who is making an
exceptional impact in the field of global health. Judges selecting are
looking for evidence of creativity and initiative, influence, potential to
contribute meaningfully to the field, and the ability to inspire collaboration.

Luminary Leader: Awarded to an individual
who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a relentless
commitment to the global health community. Judges selecting are looking for
evidence of leadership, health impact, driving collaboration and meaningful
mentorship.

Organizational Impact: Awarded to an organization making an exceptional impact in improving global health equity. We
encourage the nominations of organizations of all sizes, as this award takes
into account impact relative to size and scope of the organization's financial
and staff resources. Judges are looking for evidence of better health outcomes
and impact relative to organization size and budget as a result of
innovation, deference to local leaders, and collaboration among diverse partners.
