EPA Waterway Cleanup Registration

Keep Texas Beautiful and Black Cat GIS needs YOU to help clean up our waterways and collect data about the litter that is found. As part of a larger trash collection and analysis project funded by an EPA Trash Free Waters grant, volunteers are needed to pick up trash and collect data in and around Houston/Galveston waterways.

We will be conducting a STOP training session at the Challenger 7 Park boar launch to teach volunteers how to collect, analyze and enter trash findings into a central database.  This training will allow volunteers to conduct work on their own time, any time they are out in the field and make significant contributions to the larger trash study.

By land or water, you can help! Not only will our local waterways get a clean up, all data collected will be used to support a larger trash mapping and modeling project around Galveston Bay.

ALL TRAINING AND WILL BE LAND BASED BUT INSTRUCTION WILL ALSO ADDRESS

WATER BASED CLEAN UP METHODS.
