Gun Violence Prevention Crew (GVP Crew)

Have you or someone you know been affected by gun violence?
Do you want to be part of the solution to stop the violence?
Are you between the ages of 16-21 and want an opportunity to get paid for your social justice efforts?

MPDC's GVP Crew program offers opportunities for individuals to learn about the affects of gun violence in their communities and provide them an opportunity to do advocacy and preventative work in hopes to help this issue subside. The GVP Crew program will hire participants ages 16 to 21, who will be trained and paid to do just that.

Along with paid training in presentation and facilitation skills, participants will have access to services needed to help them complete personal goals identified during their engagement with our program. It is our hope that through this program we are able to inspire our participants to take a vested interest in their community and work together towards the goal of slowing gun violence incidents on a day to day basis, in hopes to give our communities a better chance at becoming more stable and vibrant.
