APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ

This program is open to emerging/mid-level Black, Indigenous, and/or racialized writers.

This application is comprised of two parts,the APPLICATION FORM and the SUBMISSION FEE PAYMENT. Applications are only accepted if both parts are complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

1. APPLICATION FORM
Please complete each section of the five-page application form. Upon clicking "Submit Form," your application materials will be sent to the CFC. 

2. SUBMISSION FEE PAYMENT
Please note that there is a submission fee of $100.00 CAD for this application. After submitting the application form, you will be redirected to PayPal to complete the submission fee payment.

Your Resumé/Curriculum Vitae should contain an up-to-date account of your experience, education, and/or training. 

Your Filmography/Writing Credits are a rundown of your work to date, listing any applicable credits you have from film, television, theatre, novels, short stories, published writing, etc. 

Your Filmography/Writing Credits should include: 
1) The title of the project.
2) Your role(s) on the project.
3) The year the piece was written.
4) The format of the project (feature, short, series, play, novel, article, etc.)
5) Other key creatives you worked with (writer, director, producer, editor, if applicable.)
6) Development or production status (was it produced/performed/published?)

TOP TEN (10) TV LIST
A list of your ten (10) all-time favourite television programs, using criteria of your choice.











TWO (2) ORIGINAL COMEDY SERIES IDEAS
Please share two un-produced original television series ideas you are interested in developing further. These should both have a comedy focus.















ORIGINAL SCRIPT
Submit the script that you believe best showcases your writing and original voice. Submissions should be an un-produced half hour, one (1) hour, or feature script in proper screenplay format. This script cannot be co-written. Your script should be proof-read and clearly marked with your name, the title, and draft date on the cover page.

If this is the same as one of your original comedy series ideas (above), you may use the same description.

CONSENT FORMS (5/5)

CANADIAN CITIZEN/ PERMANENT RESIDENT ELIGIBILITY
Applicants to CFC programs must be Canadian citizens (as defined by the Citizenship Act) or permanent residents of Canada (as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act). 

A
pplicants selected for an interview will be required to provide the CFC proof of Canadian citizenship/permanent residency (PR) status. Accepted documents proving PR/citizenship include a Canadian passport, Canadian birth certificate, or Canadian permanent resident (PR) card.
