Georgia Aquarium SEA Grant Application

Thanks for applying to the Sponsored Education Admissions (SEA) Grant for the 2022-2023 school year!

The SEA Grant Application can take up to 15 minutes to complete and must be completed in one sitting. Incomplete and inaccurate applications will not be considered. The educator filling out the application is the field trip contact and must be attending with the group. Limit 1 application per educator. If the email address does not match the name of the educator who applied, your application will automatically be denied. Applications may take up to 6 weeks to be reviewed.

Please add and to your email address book. Our emails often end up in the spam/junk folder.
Free/Reduced Lunch Percentage

Please note, at least 60% of the student population served must receive free or reduced lunch to be eligible for the SEA Grant. The Georgia Department of Education FRL% database will be used by Georgia Aquarium to determine eligibility.

There is a maximum of 150 students covered per application. If you will have more than 150 students with your visit, you will be offered a discounted rate for additional tickets.
The number of adult tickets we can provide under the SEA Grant will depend on your group size and your grade level. If your application is accepted, your confirmation email will contain information on the number of adults you were approved for. If your student count decreases, the number of complimentary adult tickets will also decrease.
Please select 3 possible visit dates in order of your preference. Visit dates must be Monday - Friday during the 2022 - 2023 school year (August 15, 2022 – March 31, 2023). Dates are subject to availability, and blackout dates may apply.

It may take up to 6 weeks for an application to be reviewed. Please keep this turnaround time in mind when selecting your dates.
When choosing an Arrival Time, please make sure you consider when your buses would be able to leave the school and take traffic/travel time into account.

We will do our best to schedule your group for your requested date and time but please note: all dates and times are subject to availability.

Reschedule Policy
If something comes up and you need to reschedule your visit, you may do so once. A visit cannot be rescheduled more than one time. If you reschedule once and the second date your group is scheduled for does not work, your visit will be cancelled for the 2022 - 2023 school year.
No Call, No Show Policy
If your group does not attend your scheduled field trip or you do not email at least 48 business hours in advance, your visit will be forfeited for the remainder of the school year and you will not be eligible for the SEA Grant for the 2023 - 2024 school year.
