TNOYS' AmeriCorps Program is a paid opportunity that is open to those who have lived experience in systems. AmeriCorps members provide support at youth-serving organizations (host sites) across Texas, and learn skills to make a difference in the lives of youth and young adults with lived experience.
AmeriCorps Program Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply.
- At least 18, or 21+ for some host sites
- Have lived experience in youth-serving systems. Lived experience is defined as someone who has faced homelessness, foster care, juvenile justice, or involvement in other social service systems such as mental health supports.
- Is a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (If selected, you will be required to complete INS Form I-9).
