NEADS  NEADS Volunteer Application 

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at NEADS World Class Service Dogs.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. 

NEADS offers many different areas in which to volunteer. Options include:

  • Dogs and Canine Center (NEADS Campus, Princeton, MA)
    • This may include walking dogs, feeding dogs, grooming dogs, socializing dogs, kennel cleanup, sanitizing, and food preparation. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, bend repeatedly, and be free of knee, back, shoulder & neck problems.
  • Breeding Center (NEADS Campus, Princeton, MA)
    • Breeding Center Volunteers help in both our Nursery and our Breeding Kennel. Volunteers in the Breeding Center must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, bend repeatedly, step over baby gates, and be free of knee, back, shoulder & neck problems. Volunteers must engage in operations tasks like laundry, dishwashing, and sweeping, as well as spending hands-on time with puppies.
  • Education (Local, Regional, National)
    • This includes help with projects, programs, and events, being a NEADS spokesperson in schools, workshops, booths, or expos; booth set-up and coverage at events, greeting people, providing information. 
  • Computer Support (NEADS Campus, Princeton, MA)
    • This may include data entry, database updating and management, IT assistance.
  • Facilities and Grounds Maintenance (NEADS Campus, Princeton, MA)
    • This may include indoor housekeeping, or outdoor raking, landscaping, cleaning vehicles, etc. For one-time and group projects, please visit our website.
  • Administrative Support (NEADS Campus, Princeton, MA)
    • This may include help with mailings, stuffing envelopes, folding brochures, assisting at reception, answering phones, etc.
  • Creative Support (NEADS Campus, Princeton, MA)
    • This may include photography, video recording and editing, graphic design (brochures, posters for special events, advertising, etc.) writing, and assistance with social media.

All Breeding Center volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated (not including boosters) and to show NEADS Staff proof of vaccination prior to your first shift.
