These units will be selected on a first-come-first-serve basis.

You will be required to upload supporting financial documents, including the following:

copies of completed and signed tax returns with W-2s and/or 1099s
pay stubs
bank statements

There is a nonrefundable credit report fee that you will be required to pay. You will pay this through a separate form linked from the confirmation email sent when you submit this application. The link is also on the last page of the application.

Partnership with Habitat SKC involves willingness to participate with public relations. Partner family bios and a family picture will be displayed at the house site for which the family is approved for. Additionally, partner families may be asked to speak at or attend various Habitat events such as our annual luncheon. Do you understand what is being asked of you and is your family ready for this committment?

All applicants understand that they are applying to the homeownership program through Habitat SKC. If approved to become a Habitat homeowner, they are prepared to make monthly on-time mortgage payments as well as Homeowners Association dues (if applicable) after they close on the house. Living in an Association comes with responsibilities that continue throughout your time in the home. Paying monthly assessments on time to contribute to the operation and maintenance of the property, preparing for future needs of the Association, and building a vibrant community of connected neighbors making these decisions together. With the help of a professional Association manager and Habitat, owners commit to serving terms on the Board of Directors, volunteering when called, participating in meetings and elections, paying their assessments on time, and building a lasting community.
Mortgages are provided through third party providers and will likely have a low interest rate.

Financial Assessment Documents

All of these documents are required, unless otherwise noted. You have the option to upload them to this application, fax them to 206-855-5527, or mail them into our office. Uploaded pictures of the required paperwork will not be accepted, all documents must be uploaded in PDF form. If you are missing documents, you will be notified and given a final due date. Any incomplete applications will result in a withdrawal from the homeownership program.

Copy of driver's license, social security cards and permanent residency cards (if applicable) for all applicants and additional household members. U.S. passports and birth certificates can be used in place of driver's license/social security cards.
