In this survey, we take a broad definition of ‘data science’ as ‘the extraction of knowledge from data’. We consider data science to include a wide range of disciplines, including mathematical and statistical sciences, computer science, information science, data engineering, data management, machine learning and AI.  We also embrace a range of other names for ‘data science’, such as data analytics, health or business analytics, and so on.
