The Texas Nonprofit Summit is an annual gathering of Texas nonprofit sector leaders, partners, and advocates. The 2023 Summit will take place February 27-March 1, 2023, in Austin, Texas. An estimated 400 nonprofit changemakers, board members, funders, and partners from the business community are expected to attend. Texas Nonprofit Summit attendees will also be encouraged to join OneStar and the United Ways of Texas for Texas Nonprofit Strong Day at the Texas Capitol on March 1, 2023.

The 2023 Summit theme is RE:engage. Winning proposals will be chosen according to the following criteria:

  • Demonstrates the Summit theme. RE:engage explores our commitment to reconnect and re-energize the sector by taking bold action together. The focus is on moving the Texas nonprofit sector forward by seeking opportunities for better collaboration and innovation.
  • Provides attendees with actionable, valuable information and/or new perspectives to enhance their work.
  • Relevant to attendees representing organizations of any size and across the state of Texas. We are particularly interested in topics relevant to small or grassroots nonprofits and those serving and operating in rural communities.
  • Does not sell or solicit sales for a product or service. (Exhibitor booths are available for promotion.)

Presenters are sought for each of these session types: 

  • Master Classes: In-depth, 3-hour sessions led by knowledgeable social sector leaders to explore an essential nonprofit management concept (leadership, fundraising/development, marketing, community engagement, etc.), ideally coupled with an activity or experience. 30-50 estimated attendees per session. 
  • Deep-Dive Sessions: 2-hour sessions led by knowledgeable social sector leaders on a variety of topics of interest to nonprofit changemakers, board members, funders and partners. The first hour of a Deep-Dive Session will present a concept or innovation, and the second hour of the session will offer attendees an opportunity to interact with the material and fellow attendees. 25-75 estimated attendees per session. 
  • Breakout Sessions: 1-hour sessions or panel presentations led by knowledgeable social sector leaders on a variety of topics of interest to nonprofit changemakers, board members, funders and partners. Panel discussions will ensure representation of diverse voices and perspectives. 25-75 estimated attendees per session. 
All presenters will receive complimentary registration to the entire 2023 Texas Nonprofit Summit and be featured on the Summit website as well as in the printed program. Speaker stipends or honorariums of $500 - $1,000 (depending on presentation type) are available for presenters who are not able to volunteer their services.

Presenters will be notified of their acceptance status no later than October 28, 2022.
