OVERVIEW

Rural Philanthropy Day, hosted by the Fayette Community Foundation and Stanzel Family Foundation, is a one-of-a-kind event designed to build the capacity of rural nonprofits and strengthen relationships between funders, nonprofit professionals, community leaders, government officials, and other statewide stakeholders. Funders from all over the state, including foundations, corporations, banks, and individuals will be invited to connect with local community leaders and discuss collaborative partnerships.

Rural Philanthropy Day provides nonprofit board and staff helpful information, education, and ideas to enhance internal capabilities in various areas including governance, fundraising, operations, volunteers, grant writing, and marketing. The event also allows funders to learn from local nonprofits, gain a better understanding of the unique challenges facing rural communities and serve as a networking opportunity to highlight people serving in the community.

Rural Philanthropy Day will be held at Blinn College in Schulenburg, TX, on Friday, November 4, and feature interactive workshops in the morning, followed by afternoon roundtable discussions with funders, and ending with a reception for all attendees. OneStar is pleased to support this inaugural Rural Philanthropy Day and provide scholarships for rural nonprofits to learn, grow and build capacity.
