We’re so excited for your interest in joining itrek as an Israeli Fellow. As a Fellow, you bridge the gap between our international graduate delegations and the local experience. By sharing your authentic perspective, you offer participants a vital window into daily life in Israel, turning their visit into a meaningful cross-cultural connection. For you, it’s a unique opportunity to build a global network, foster genuine friendships, and play an important role by adding your voice to the conversation about Israel with peers from around the world.

About itrek: 

itrek brings delegations of graduate school students to Israel for  week-long trips to experience Israel first hand. 90% of our students are from outside the Jewish community  and many have little exposure to Israel.Our Israel Treks are peer-led, tailor-made to the interests of the group by student Leaders. In our trip itineraries, you will find company visits, meetings with top speakers, and fun activities- like graffiti tours, ATV rides, and more.

Requirements & Eligibility

As an itrek Fellow, you will be expected to participate in the program entirely, and all candidates must attend a training day in order to be placed on an Israel Trek.

We accept students with excellent proficiency in English studying Business, Law, and Policy (including international relations and political science). Priority will be given to Israeli graduate (MA) students in those segments; undergraduates (BA) students in their final years are welcome to apply. Students studying in other fields may apply and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to email us at fellows@itrek.org and we will respond on a case-by-case basis.  

Costs and Accommodations

Participation in the trek is highly subsidized. Fellows are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own transportation to meet the group on the first day and for their return journey on the last day. During the Israel Trek, Fellows are also responsible for the cost of any "on-own" meals not provided by the group. Please note that for lodging, Fellows are required to share a hotel room with a participant of the same gender. All other core expenses, including primary lodging, group transportation, professional tour guides, and site entries, are fully covered by itrek.

*Important note: 

Most of our itineraries include visits to 'A-zones,' such as Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Hebron. Please be aware that for Israeli citizens, entry into these areas is subject to signing a consent form and IDF approval, which is determined at their discretion and is not guaranteed. Choosing not to join the group for these visits will not negatively impact your admission to the Fellows program.
