Request a Conversion Immersion

As of May, 2024, we are seeing the highest number of conversion requests in 15 years and are currently booking immersions as far as 2-3 months out. The further ahead you request your conversion, the more likely you are to get your preferred time. Thank you for your understanding.

Please note: conversion immersions can only be scheduled by clergy or their assistants. If you are in need of connection to clergy please reach out to us at info@mayyimhayyim.org.

Immersion Information
Please request your appointment at least three (3) business days in advance. Although not always possible, we will do our best to accommodate other requests.

When submitting a request, you can expect:
  • Your increased flexibility within the posted hours and requesting appointments farther in advance will yield a higher likelihood of confirming your appointment.
  • An email from our staff to either confirm your requested time or suggest alternative options.


Conversion/affirmation appointments are scheduled for 90 minutes to include a Beit Din unless otherwise arranged. After a Beit Din, your candidate will receive a short tour of the mikveh. Our hours of operation are:
  • Monday - Thursday: 10:00am - Sunset
  • Friday: 10:00am - 4:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am - 4:00pm

A Mayyim Hayyim volunteer Mikveh Guide will be present to support you and your candidate throughout the conversion experience and to serve as a witness for the immersion. Please share your candidate’s preference for the gender of their Mikveh Guide.
