Due to a high volume of requests Race Forward is kindly asking you to complete the following brief survey to help us manage your request. Once you fill out the survey, your request will be forwarded to the team best suited to respond to your request.

















Thank you for completing the Training Inquiry Form for Local, Regional, or State Government Agencies. We are responding to unprecedented demand for capacity-building support. Your inquiry is important to us, and we endeavor to respond as soon as we are able. Due to the volume of requests we are receiving, we are slower in our response than we would like to be. Please note: we will not be able to schedule requests for assistance that must be fulfilled within the next 30 business days.

Our priorities for service provision are:
- GARE Member jurisdictions
- Local, State and regional units of government
- Networks that serve government

We do not provide capacity-building to:

 - Police, Corrections and Sheriff Departments (please see our programmatic partner The Center for Policing Equity)    

 - School Districts

Inquiry form for Federal Government Agencies

Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Federal Initiative to Govern for Racial Equity (FIRE). FIRE provides federal agencies assistance with advancing racial equity within institutions using strategies for transformational change. Some examples of our capacity-building support include: 

  • Centering racial equity in public policy and public administration 
  • Education and skill development as well as application (of acquired skill) to projects 
  • Developing and applying racial equity-centered strategies
  • Conducting Racial Equity Assessments 
  • Supporting Racial Equity Action Planning
FIRE works with federal agencies that are ready for transformative change. We are not able to assist with:  
  • Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) issues 
  • Human resources 
  • Diversity strategies (representation) 
  • Inclusion strategies (access and tolerance) 
  • Dispute resolution 
  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 
  • One-time trainings
