Submitting this eligibility form begins your application process. Once we have determined you meet our eligibility criteria, you will receive an email with a link to the full application. The email will come from fellowship@dogtaginc.org. *Please note: users have reported the application email landing in their spam or junk folders, so please make sure to check those folders. Invitations to apply are delivered shortly after the eligibility form is submitted.

Summer 2025 in-person requirements by cohort:

DC Cohort:
The Washington, DC cohort will meet in person, in DC, two days a week, every other week. When the cohort is not meeting in person, classes will be held virtually, via Zoom, Monday - Thursday, 9am - 4pm ET. 

By applying to participate in the DC cohort, you agree that if accepted, you will be in DC in person on a bi-weekly schedule,  and that you are responsible for coordinating your own travel and accommodations to attend programming (a stipend will be provided). 

Chicago Cohort:
The Chicago cohort will meet for three in-person weeks, July 28 - July 31 in Chicago, September 8 - 11 (Need to finalize) in DC, and November 17 - 20 in Chicago. 
When the program is not meeting in person, classes will be held virtually, via Zoom, Monday - Thursday, 8am - 3pm CT. 

By applying to participate in the Chicago cohort, you agree that if accepted, you are able to travel to attend three weeks of in-person programming (2 in Chicago, 1 in DC),  and that you are responsible for coordinating your own travel and accommodations to attend programming (a stipend and assistance with flights will be provided).

We are interested in knowing what kinds of programming potential applicants are interested in. For informational purposes only, please rank your preferences for program delivery as follows.
  • Fully in-person: Programming would be delivered Monday - Thursday 9am-4pm ET at a Dog Tag site in Chicago or Washington, DC. Participants would be expected to attend all programming in person. 
  • Hybrid: Programming would be delivered partially in-person and partially online. In-person programming would take place in either Washington, DC or Chicago during regular programming hours. Programming would likely be 2-5 times per cohort, scheduled well in advance, with resources available to cover travel expenses. 
  • Fully Virtual: Programming would be delivered Monday - Thursday 9am-4pm ET via virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Google). All participants would be expected to attend all programming virtually.
